Principles of the SIS with respect to personnel policy

Excerpts from the mission statement and personnel policy documents

Personnel
The staff members largely contribute to the success of the SIS. The shared expertise is constantly enhanced. Our employees are proactive and corporate-minded. Their willingness to perform is above average.

Culture
Despite the wide scope of functions fulfilled by our staff members, we maintain a unified and distinctive corporate culture within the Group. We place a high value on social fairness during all phases of corporate and economic development. Members of staff in difficult situations can count on the support of the SIS. All Group companies take into account changes in their employees' professional and personal environment and actively support them in coping with such changes.

Leadership
In all companies of the SIS, leadership is understood in terms of target setting and delegation of tasks and competencies. Direct superiors see themselves as coaches of their respective teams. They are responsible for creating a work atmosphere that is conducive to the motivation of all staff members.

Education
The prime aim of personnel management is the professional and personal development of all members of staff in accordance with corporate objectives and in observance of the equal opportunity principle. Particular attention is given to discovering, realising and further developing employee potential.

Recruitment
In the staff recruiting process, particular attention is paid to polyvalent deployability, individual development potentials and mobility. In view of increasing occupational demands, preference is given to applicants possessing a wide range of professional expertise.

Conditions of employment
Contractual regulations, such as the "Agreement on Conditions of Employment for Bank Staff", are the same for all companies of the SIS. Remuneration takes into account the function and is performance-oriented. The employment conditions we offer are, in every respect, at least equivalent to those offered by banks. We seek to enhance our employees' motivation and willingness to perform by means of attractive, performance-oriented remuneration and incentive systems. The bonus and remuneration systems used are goal-oriented and uniform across all companies of the SIS.
